Delete your FrankWeather notification account

Weather browsing requires no account. These instructions apply if you enrolled in optional cloud notifications.

Request deletion without the app

Email a deletion request

Send your request to support@frankweather.com with the subject “FrankWeather notification account deletion.” Tell us which device you used and whether you still have access to its FrankWeather passkey. We will help identify the account and verify ownership before deleting it. Do not send passwords, private keys, or notification tokens.

Delete directly in the app

Open Settings, find Background weather alerts, choose “Delete notification account and cloud data,” and confirm. Reconnect with your passkey if prompted. Wait for confirmation before uninstalling.

What happens to your data

After a verified deletion request is accepted, monitored coordinates are removed and cloud alert routes and sessions are revoked for all devices on that account. Remaining account records, including device identifiers, passkey public keys and notification history, are deleted after 30 days. Private backups expire within a further seven days. The retention period supports reliable account cleanup and service recovery.

Your locally saved places and settings remain on your device. Clear the app's local data or uninstall it to remove them. Turning off notifications or uninstalling alone does not delete the cloud account.

For older purchase/license records, use the same email address and specify that your request concerns a historical license. See our Privacy Policy for details.
